AC Question
OS update failed overnight.
Turned on phone to see a phone icon containing a red triangle/warning signal.
Phone is very new and not rooted / backed up.
Found system recovery menu.
>reboot to bootloader
attempted both the following
>boot to download mode
>boot to recovery mode
both attempts took me back to the red triangle screen
Attempted the following
>wipe data/factory reset
"Data wipe complete"
then again tried all boot options.
No change in error.
I do not have a working SD card to boot from.
Thought I would try
>apply update from ADB
However the HTC site does not provide a ROM for the 520 model and neither does cyanogenmod..
I'm slightly perplexed that there is no factory restore option like on most devices I have owned. The "wipe data/factory reset" just removes my user data and doesn't reinstall the OS which is worse than useless.
I really need to get this working as I have already missed some University due to this issue.
Any help would be greatly appreciated.
