my phone won't sleep when I answer a call

When I answer a phone call my phones screen won't go to sleep. So when I'm on the phone it picks up my ear and selects crazy things.

Sounds like you have a bad proximity sensor. Maybe an app you installed is conflicting with it. Search Google for how to start your phone in Safe Mode. If your phone works in safe mode, then some app is causing the problem, which means you have to uninstall your apps one by one until you find the culprit.

If it doesn't work in safe mode, then you might have to factory reset your phone. Back up all you data before you do as you'll lose everything in a factory reset.
