Is the edge on the SGS7 hard to get used to?

So I've never owned any Samsung product with an edge and I pre-ordered the SGS7 edge. I watch a lot of videos on my phone and I'm concerned with whether or not my hand will hit the screen on the edge or when i hold it, will it mess with the screen? That being said i preordered with verizon on 3/5 any news on shipping?
