my phone won't get off enter pin or emergency call screen

[AC Question]

I forgot my pin number, I always use finger print to unlock my phone. Now it will not allow me to get off the enter pin or make emergency call screen? What gives??

Welcome to Android Central! Which phone? Fingerprint sensors can sometimes have issues, and in my experience, my phone will periodically ask for my backup password/pattern. so you really have to remember your backup.

If you fail the unlock enough times, does it ask you for your Google credentials?
