how do I fix "AppLock is Disabled?"

I keep getting a pop-up which states "AppLock is Disabled. AppLock will no longer work correctly due to access being OFF. You have no locked apps now....OK" I can't find a way to prevent this from popping up, as it does every few minutes. Very frustrating! help!
