How can I stop Google+ from downloading whatever it is downloading

google+ has been downloading something on my galaxy s3 for about a week now and hasn't gone past 12%.

Go to settings - apps and find Google+ and force stop it. It probably isn't still downloading and the notification could just be stuck. A reboot could also get rid of it.

I don't have the app installed and I've quit plus twice but Google keeps thinking I'm still on it. They must be desperate for members. I don't even know what it's good for.
