Lost my mic icon on keyboard and have smiley icon displayed. How can I get mic back. Ty

Hi, long press on the smiley icon, it will give you a couple of options to choose, select the mic and it will remain there until you change it

Did you disable Google App? If so, that's where your voice to text comes from and you must enable it. Once enabled, you should find it back in your keyboard like normal.

If it's enabled and still doesn't show up, wipe Google App cache, keyboard app cache, system cache via recovery and check keyboard settings.
