Note 5 and Glass S doesn't Connect Automatically when in Range After Marshmallow Updat

[AC Question]

I have a Samsung Note 5 and a Gear S
Paired successful
After updating to Marshmallow when I go out of Bluetooth range and come back it won't connect automatically.
I cleared cache. Unpaired and paired again and restarted.
Didn't help
Any idea?

Hello, & Welcome to Android Forums!

Sorry you've experienced this issue, and I'm sure you're only joining many others, with issues after the MM update. 2 things I recommend, hopefully the first one works.

1. Enter Recovery, and Wipe Partition Cache.

2.. Full Factory Reset - I know, not what you want to hear, see below.

There are many folks who have no issues after a major update like MM; however there are an equal amount, in my opinion that suffer issues after these updates. I, as a rule, ALWAYS perform a Factory Reset after a major update, no exceptions. Just save yourself some headache and do it. BE SURE TO BACK UP YOUR PHONE USING SMART SWITCH OR EQUIVALENT.

Same here running 5.1.1. Keeps dropping with gear s but ok with car audio, bt speakers, bt earpiece. Gear s is now useless. Seems kind of a marketing strategy.
