How can I get my laptop to recognize my factory reset Samsung S4 Mini?

A shop did a factory reset on my phone and now I can't connect to my Windows laptop as a usb or hard drive, but it can still charge. Is this a driver issue or something else?

Hi & Welcome to Android Central!

Try installing the Samsung Drivers again on your laptop. You can probably just install Smart Switch, which should download the needed drivers.

Hi Chris!!

I installed Smart Switch and it told me my device wasn't supported and to try Kies. I then tried Kies and it told me my device was supported by Smart Switch. The problem is the option to even connect on the notification bar on my phone doesn't even show up anymore. Any tips?

That is indeed odd, perhaps take it back to the shop who did the reset maybe they might have an idea? If that's possible? Since it's an issue that occurred as a result of the reset, maybe they can assist with the issue.

Welcome to the forums. Did you update the drivers for the PC? Samsung used to have them for free on their website.
