Why does my phone keep telling me no network connection

A

AC Question

When I try and use Google or other apps requiring data searches I get the message "no wireless internet connection" and will not go past that....shouldn't my phone service, Sprint, be retrieving that data for me when wireless is not available?

Welcome to Android Central! Which phone? By "wireless internet connection," I assume you're referring to wi-fi, and not mobile data. Are you sure mobile data is turned on?

Hi & Thanks for stopping in at AC Forums!

Have you recently updated your phone's software to a new version? Quite possible, it, could have caused your issues. Try the below actions to see if one might help.

1. Remove SIM card while phone is on, Turn phone off, Reinsert SIM and power up.
2. Enter recovery mode, and wipe "Cache Partition." NO DATA IS LOST.
3. Replace SIM Card.
4. Full Factory Reset of your Phone. (Be sure to back up all personal stuff) Smart Switch and Helium are good backup apps.

Hope this helps!

Chris
