How do i change the default save feature

How do i change the default save feature for new numbers whether by messges or new numbers? I want it to default to google and its defaulting you my work phone book.

If you're talking about adding new contacts, the default ((stupidly, in my opinion for many versions of Android) has been Phone or Device, where it should be the Google account or a choice of Google accounts if you have more than one in the phone. I've never found a way to change that.

You should be able to go in to your contacts, go to the top right corner where the 3 dots are, tap that ad go to settings. I there should be an option for save location of contacts.
