my fingerprint stopped working and asked for my backup password

I do not remember putting in a password for my finger print. only a 4 digit number. So is the password my google account password?

Hi, has something happened to your finger? do you have sever cuts on the finger preventing the fingerprint from being read? have you also tried your Google password to see if that works?
