    I bought a Moto X play from Canada and was using it on tmobile in the USA and it was working great. All of a sudden I lost cell service with tmobile. I performed a factory reset, hardware reset but nothing happened. I called tmobile and I'm waiting to hear from them, Motorola said its not their fault. Btw I put the SIM card in my other phone and it works. Any suggestions? Thanks.

    Did the phone just update to Marshmallow?
    I have the Pure, US version, it came with MM and it selects LTE as the default frequency. I don't think the Play has band 12 and band 4 could be weak.

    Go into settings and select preferred network type and select 3G. The phone says 3G but it does pick up HSPA+ Turn off the LTE with the switch, too.
