I've been reading through the solutions here but I'm not getting any joy. I've got a Galaxy s5 that just copped a factory reset. Now I've discovered that I can no longer assign tones to message notifications.
I've gone into each contact, tapped on the pencil to edit, selected 'Add another field' but it's just stuff like phonetic name, organisation, nickname etc.
When I go into the contact and tap on the 3 dots, I can choose: delete, link contacts, share name card, send contact information, add to auto reject list, add shortcut' ... and that's it.
It's ticking me off because I had all my notifications etc tagged for different individuals, and somehow the factory reset the carrier did has not only wiped them off (expected), but has also removed the capacity to reinstate them.
Any suggestions?
