Can I wipe the phone if the screen is damaged too bad to see anything on it?

AC Question

I need to send my phone back for insurance purposes. I am not comfortable sending it not wiped. How can I wipe it from my computer?

You can't wipe out from your pc but if the screen works you can wipe it normally. The input interface had nothing to do with the screen visually, and you wipe with the physical buttons so no problem as long as the device powers on. Look up your device for more specific directions, I'd look for screen shots of the recovery screen.
Usually to get to recovery you'll press and hold the vol down button during power up. Even without being able to see anything a few extra second holding the vol button won't hurt anything. This is where the screen shots well come in handy, you'll have to count the down presses so that you're on factory reset and pressing the power button initiates the whole thing. After a few your phone will vibrate when shutting down and again when powering up. That will let you know you were successful.
