Samsung Galaxy s5, Skype Issues

[AC Question]

I bought a new phone and on the first day i downloaded skype to the phone and when its on speaker mode i can barley or not at all be heard, but if its in earpiece mode i can be heard fine. As well as when im in a video call with someone if i do anything else on the phone when i go back to the video my friends video is gone leaving the blue background or just their icon picture there even though they say their video is still up. Need help to solve this issue.

That sounds like issues between Skype and your particular phone model. Have you contacted Skype?
