need more space on my samsung LG

[AC Question]

Each time i attempt to download anything my phone tells me not enough space check storage: my total space is 1.48gb and my used space is 1.15gb and my available space is 175mb what can i do to create more space can not download a bloody thing?? Help!

Welcome to the forums. I am guessing there wasn't much space to begin with. Android as an OS, will take up some of the total space. How much it takes is less noticeable as the total storage capacity gets bigger. Say on an 8 GB device, Android takes about 3-4 GB. On a 16, it creeps up to 4 maybe 5 GB. On a 32, the OS is about 10 GB.

As for clearing up space....it's hard to do when there is so little to begin with. Do you have any music or pictures that can be placed on an SD card?
