I have just bought a Samsung Galaxy S4 I9500 32GB. I have downloaded the Samsung Kies 2.6.3.16041.12. When I try and connect to Kies, a pop-up appears and tells me "This device is supported through Smart Switch, which is faster and more convenient". I am comfortable with using Kies and use it for two older devices, another Samsung Galaxy A Series and a Samsung Galaxy Tab2. I am familiar and comfortable with Kies, and I wish to be able to manually update and most importantly, save my contacts and settings.
I do not want to save anything to cloud or using an app that does the same. I want to save everything to my computer and from there onto an external hard drive. I am also not sure which version of Android my S4 is using, but I suspect it may be Kit Kat. I need to know how I can connect my Galaxy S4 to Kies.
