I recently switched from a Samsung Galaxy S3 to and S6 Edge and swapped all my music over as well. I put a lot of effort into making all my music look nice i.e: I pair all my non-paid for music with album art and all the other tag information, so my music looks neat and tidy in the Music Player.
So on my S3 when I selected Sort By Artist and chose an Artist it would show the album name and the songs in the album. Doing the same on the S6 Edge it shows the Album Name, Album Year, and the songs. The problem is most of the album years aren't registering. I have personally edited each non-paid for song and added all the tag information but yet the year still won't show up. This happens even for some songs I've purchased from Google Play. Opening up the songs via Audacity on my computer verifies that there is indeed a year registered on the tag database.
Is there some way I can disable Lollipop from showing the Album year? Any other methods for fixing this would be greatly appreciated.
