Can I unlock my phone with my Google account?

Hello,

I usually use fingerprints to access my phone, but after I powered it down today it is requesting a password which I, of course, do not have. I have seen many posts that say after a few failed attempts it will allow you to attempt to use your google account. I have made a great deal of attempts, and I have yet to see this option. The phone is now locking me out for an hour.

I have tried Android Device Manager, and Samsung Find My Phone. Samsung's site is currently experiencing some technical difficulties. And Device Manager is equally useless to bypass the password.

What an amazingly annoying feature. Can anyone help me?

Welcome to Android Central! When you set up your fingerprint unlock, you were required to create a backup password, for situations like this. What was it?
