Stop WiFi to Access AirStash

[AC Question]

Occasionally I use AirStash to put files into the SD card in my Galaxy 3 10.1 running 4.4.2

Airstash needs the regular wifi turned off to access the SD card .

For whatever reason, recently the Tablet now insists on connecting to the internet.

I try turning the wifi sliding tab OFF. I have gone into Advanced and made sure it was not set to Scan for wifi networks.

I have the Wifi turned off but it insists on coming on as soon as I try to access the AirStash.

Frustrating.

According to the comments on the Air Stash play store page, that's about normal. They "improved" it to the point that it doesn't work.
