Galaxy s3 battery/charging port.

My phone had to be sat down and left so it was very still. After one hour it only had eight percent charge.I pushed the little tongue up and it did good for about 30 minutes no vibrating or the battery low beeping. It held charge for 10 minutes. My husband changed the port ( never done that) now it just vibrates like its going to come on but won't. Also the little strip on the back is pink.A friend gave it to me so not sure what the story on that is.

Ask your friend whether it has been water-damaged.

My husband changed the port

First mistake. He broke something or failed to reconnect something. Now you have to find a repair shop willing to fix someone else's mistake. (Very few legitimate ones do, because anything could break down a week after you get it back and you'll blame them - when it's your husband's fault.)

Also the little strip on the back is pink.

It's never been wet. If it gets wet, the strip turns white.
