Why won't my phone play music from my SD card anymore in my car?

I have a LG G2 and yesterday I downloaded the update. Since then I have been having trouble to get my music in my car to play from SD card when hooked up to a USB like it usually does. Instead it wants to play music from my internal storage. Is there anyone who can help me with my problem?

The USB connection in the car is designed to play music from an mp3 player. Evidently the old version of Android made the SD card look like the mp3 player, but the new version makes internal storage look like it. There's nothing you can do except back everything up, then reflash the older ROM and restore everything.
