Can fingerprint unlock phone but no pin unlock

Good day all,

I believe to have a very unique situation. As of yesterday, my lock screen pin code is no longer working (i have been using the same pin since I had Nokia 6310i..) My fingerprint unlock is still working fine so I can still acess my phone at least. However, is there a way to reset your pin code without doing a factory reset (as some functions still require you to enter the pin code)? Many thanks in advance.

If you change the unlock method from fingerprint to swipe, and then delete all your registered prints, you should be able to then change the lock method back to fingerprint, at which time you'll need to reregister your prints and enter a pin/password.

However, before deleting your registered prints, I would change to swipe, restart the phone to make sure it will unlock with swipe, and if it does, then proceed with deleting your registered prints, and then go back and change swipe to fingerprint lock, then register new prints and pin/password.
