ringtone problem

[AC Question]

When I receive a phone call or a sms text message the phone will vibrate only, it won't play any ringtone, but the sound/speakers work as I can play music and listen to videos, now when someone calls me on vider the phone will play the ringtone.
I have tried a full reset back to factory setting but this did not fix the problem,

Have you looked in all your settings? Sounds like you have the phone on vibrate only for calls and messages... you have sound and notifications settings and within your messages and calls menus again you have notifications controls. If you are running marshmallow, you have further notifications control on an app by app basis...
