why won't my phone charge on the stock charger but charges no problem on the one from walmart?

So I just bought my s5 active and it has battery issues (sent in for a replacement battery because the battery is draining about 20% an hour) but would a bad battery cause it to reject one charger over another? It'll recognize the factory charger for a couple minutes, but then it'll stop charging. Yet no issues at all with the other charger

Possibly, but that needs such rare conditions that I wouldn't even think about it. When you hear hoofbeats it's probably horses - an intermittently defective charger. It starts heating up, then quits.
