So my S6 was on 12% battery when I suddenly got a black screen. I thought it just needed to be charged. Plugged it in, doesn't start charging, plugged it into my PC not charging or being picked by my PC. Tried some of the fixes like booting into safe mode and recovery mode, nothing. No blue light, vibrations or anything else.
Is my battery just dead and needs replacing? Should I take it back and have it sent away to be fixed or is there another way I can revive it?

    1. Don't let the battery get below 40% (unless you like buying batteries).

    2. Leave it on the stock charger for at least 24 hours.

Still nothing after 24 hours plugged into the power. I don't even know if it's charging as there is no red light indicator or battery icon on the screen which is what it usually does when charging. And all the button combinations still don't do anything.

The battery could be below the normal charging voltage (which is why I don't like phones with non-removable batteries - if the battery were removable you could pop it into a charger that does precharge, and see if that fixes it). I believe Samsung charges $60 to replace the battery (including return shipping).
