How do I change to a live wallpaper in Nova Launcher?

I'm having trouble getting Bitmado live wallpaper to work in Nova Launcher. I've gone into Setting/Display/Live Wallpaper, chosen Bitmado and Set Wallpaper, but it just shows a black screen with a dark grey Bitmado logo. I've gone into Nova Settings, but I don't see a Wallpaper option anywhere. What am I not doing?

This. After you long press on your home screen select 'wallpapers' and you'll get and overview with different options at the bottom. Scroll it all the way to the left and you'll find live wallpapers.

Still not working. I've scrolled to the left, selected "Live Wallpaper" and chosen Bitmado. A picture from Bitmado pops up and I press "Set Wallpaper." But when I go back to my home screen all there is is a black wallpaper with a dark grey Bitmado logo.

Thanks for registering and welcome as a new member! It seems that Bitmado hasn't been updated for a long time and it's not available on the Play Store. There are no news from the developer since 2014 when many users reported similar problems, so I would try a different wallpaper app.

Oh. It seems that simply Bitmado doesn't work on updated Android anymore.
