Is there too much light that will damage the camera sensor

I am just wondering if apart from long exposure to the sun, are there any other light sources that may damage a camera sensor, for example long exposure to a bright led light or the torch on another camera. Is there a threshold on each camera and is there any way to find out.?

I don't think there is a way to find out other than testing it yourself - as for other light sources - I wouldn't imagine anything would beat the Suns power.
