My IR blaster isn't working?

I have a Galaxy S6 Active and I've been trying to step up the Peel remote. I've been reading some forums and tried updating my phone, updating Peel, uninstalling Android Pay and disabling Samsung Pay (can't uninstall it). None of this seems to work. The blue LED light turns on but the IR light at the top of my phone doesn't turn on. I tried using Peel on my S4 and it works so it's not the TV or my distance. Is the IR broken? Can I fix it?

1. You can't see IR. Use the S4's camera and flash the S6's blaster toward it - see if there's a faint light. The camera CAN see IR.

2. If the IR Blaster is shot, you'll have to bring the phone to a repair shop - it's not a do it yourself project.

3. If you're trying to feed more power to the IR LED, you might have burned it out.
