How to reset contact list to factory setting

Accidentally erased all contacts. Verizon has my really old contact list on my Galaxy s6 and it is connected to the cloud. I cannot edit or delete them. All the addresses are gone. Can I reset my contact list only to factory setting?

When the phone comes out of the factory, there are no contacts in it. They should be on your sim card.... maybe if you have an older phone/sim you may have some there...?

Welcome to Android Central! I'm a bit confused--you erased all of your contacts, but you want to reset your contact list to factory (i.e., blank)? Or are you trying to get rid of the old Verizon Cloud contacts?
