All my contacts were lost during the night. I had my phone plugged into charger and woke up to no contacts and no ability to save any contacts. How do I fix this?

    You don't say which device.

    Are they Google Contacts.

Did you have another Android device online. Could anyone have played with your device.

Have you checked in the Contacts app - 3 dot menu - Contacts to Display.

Can you log in to your Google account on a pc browser,
    try here:

If they are there you should be able on the device to go to Settings - Accounts - Google, touch account name, and ensure Contacts are checked. See when it was last synced.

If you can get to Google Contacts, click on More and you'll see a line to restore deleted contacts. Anything deleted within the last 30 days can be brought back. (This only works if the contacts in the phone are linked to the Google account [1st line when adding or editing a contact], which is why all contacts should be added as Google contacts.)
