Why is my phone not charging properly?

[AC Question]

The phone is at 2% when i plug it in,it says charging an hour later it still says charging and is very cold. Then an hour later it says 1% then drops to 0% and i have'nt use it at all. Then when it shuts off it says charging at 3% then it goes to 4% then drops all the way back to 2% and does'nt turn on. What is the problem?

Welcome to the forums. Have you tried different cables and wall plugs?

Discharging to 2% is a fast way to kill the battery completely. NEVER let it drop below 40% before recharging. (Lithium is not a deep-discharge chemistry, it's just a LOT lighter than lead.)
