how to focus with Huawei Y3 camera

Hi I cant seem to auto focus, or focus at all on my Huawei Y3 camera. I know its a budget camera, but surely some form of focus is good, or the camera is useless? anyone know a way? or an app that may be able to help? thank you.

I believe that the camera has a fixed-focus lens.
You could use supplementary lenses in front of the camera lens to change the point of focus if you thought it was worthwhile.
