How can I fix the icons on the Note 5 doc?

I have a Note 5 running Android 6.0.1. Recently the Verizon Messages+ icon disappeared from the dock. It was not in the app drawer. I found it in Widgets. This was the only way I could put it back on the home screen, but the icons on the dock seem to have gotten bigger and now only four will fit (including the Apps icon) where five fit before this happened. My screen grid is set to 5x5. I cannot drag the Messages+ icon onto the dock. It just pops back to the home screen. I have not wanted to change my launcher as I've read that S-Pen may not work right with another launcher, and the S-Pen was the main reason I got this phone. I can live with the Messages+ icon not on the dock, but I am really wondering what happened and if there is a way to have the dock show five icons again.

Hi, there should be an app for this - are you sure it's not in the app drawer somewhere? bare in mind it might not be in alphabetical order.
