Samsung says my note 2 on 4.1.2 is on latest OS

I onow for a fact a note 2 is able to gwt 4.4.2 and ive been on 4.1.2 for almost year as i gor my note 2 last year. I kive in uk and i got this mobile of a friend. Its oeiginially and unlockes mobike. Im running o2. When i try o uodate its says it on latest os and ive contacted samsung and they say that im on the latest aoftware which i am obviously not. What csn i do? I have no acxes to a oc so i cant instalk manually. I did try kies and no action. Same result. Ita not rooted either. I live in UK

Hi, as the phone is very old I'm pretty sure Samsung / Google will have stopped supporting the device. You're going to need to get access to a computer and see if you can download it manually.

Connect the phone to a PC and use Kies to download the update.

Also note that if the phone is carrier branded and the carrier decides to not support updates, then no update will come. You need to flash a compatible version of the software.
