Unsolicited FB notifications

[AC Question]

I have two phones .. one for work and one for personal use .
My work phone had messenger and FB installed.
I thought I would remove these apps off the work phone which I have done.
I am still getting FB notifications on my work phone its a distraction.
Q1. Why am I still getting notifications after uninstalling these apps ?
Q2. Is there something I can do to block these ... ? I have a Samsung 5

Make sure you disabled the apps. You can not "delete" this app. You might of just installed the updates.

If you have disabled the apps, do a simple power cycle off then back on.

Still have the problem? Wipe system cache via recovery mode. This will not delete any user data. *Doing a "factory reset" will delete all user data*

If you use chrome and have signed into FB before from there, you could be getting push notifications via that way.

You can block the app if nothing above works. Depends on what android version you have on how to set it up to block the notifications.
