volume button stuck on lg Optimus

[AC Question]

when I "press" it it barely moves and it takes only a light tap to send the volume all the way up or down. Tried taking the back off and cleaning out dirt from around the button but it didn't do anything

Hi, it sounds like a hardware issue, might be due to wear and tare? Might be time to get a new phone or try contacting LG and seeing if they can assist with replacing the damaged hardware part.
