Duplicated apps

[AC Question]

After updating apps on my android some have duplicated and when I go to my permissions there is my original permissions and then a second different one for example if I have denied an action previously it says Denied on the first one then on the duplicate it might say allow or ask not ally apps hav done this. Why and how to fix this would be appreciated thanks.

Hey! Android provide PhName or Screenshot of duplicated apps. Normally
these updates fix bugs or introduce New features. Don't forget you can
remove Duplicated icons by drag them to Recycle Bin

Are these "Marshmallow" Side effects-Hehe! 'cause in my SGs7-Happens
the opposite..The green [(dialPad & Msges)-(Contacts+Internet)] got merged

Like Google or MSoft icons group. I taped ea. of them & returned as Single-icon
So again remove the duplicates and Post results- G Luck O

Side-Note: As example does the "Contacts app" is double or You refer
to New homeScreen apps-That haven't been installed by yourself

Welcome to Android Central! Merged duplicate threads. Please be patient when you post a question, and it would be better if you actually registered on this forum so that you can continue posting in the thread you created.

As mentioned above, it would be helpful to know which phone you have, and which apps seem to be duplicating. Are they updating through Google Play Store?
