I was browsing Pintrest (please let me know if this is as bad an idea as it feels right now) when a Google search screen popped up with the message that my battery had been infected with a virus and had (oh yes, I clicked on it) a real looking link to play store, also looked real, saying the Go Clean app has to be installed. I closed it and searched on for the app my own, looks like legit, same reviews ect. I have Norton installed now, there are no alerts from them on malware.
I see nothing when I do an internet search about a battery virus.
Please let me know. My phone should have erased and locked down a half hour ago. ; )
I really am a bit worried though.

Your battery has not been infected with a virus, since that cannot happen. So the pop-up was a lie. You can work out the rest from there.

    Never tap OK.
