I got my S7 back in late April/ early May, and haven't had any problems with it. Starting a couple days ago I noticed the phone was getting really hot and having massive battery drain. I was taking it off the Samsung wireless charger at 6am and it was down to 30% by noon. Yesterday I took it to the Verizon store and they reset a couple settings and cleared the cache partition, which they said had over 3GB of stored data. Now after about 5 hours of use with just 45 mins of SOT, its down to 50%. Since Verizon reset it, I now have something called "10251" using 23% of my battery that I haven't noticed before. Is there anything else I can do to get the battery life the phone is supposed to get? It seems like 8 hours of mostly stand by isn't quite the battery life the reviews said it had. Or do I just have a bad phone and need to try to get another one?

Welcome to Android Central! Some of the main culprits to consider are a rogue app, poor cell signal, and a corrupt SD card. Charge up to 100%, then let it drain to 20-30% with normal usage, without charging in between. Then show us:

    1. The main Settings>Battery screen.
    2. The fullscreen battery graph screen (which shows Awake time and Cell Signal Strength).
    3. The Screen category (to see total Screen On time).
    4. The Cell Standby category, if present (to see Time Without Signal).
