I have locked myself out of my galaxy s6 active. How do I reset my password without my password??

I have locked myself out of my galaxy s6 active. I don't have "unlock with Google" as an option. And after 5 tries it lockes me out for 30sec. I tried the find my mobile app and got in, but it did not permanently unlock my phone. (Every time my screen times out I have to use the find my mobile app to get back into my phone!!) Also the find my mobile app looks different from the one depicted everywhere else.. Help!!! I really don't want to factory reset my phone
