Storage on my Coolpad Rogue

I have recently bought a Coolpad Rogue from Walmart and have realized that it comes with very little storage so I decided to buy an sd card, however, I can not make the sd card my default storage. I have gone to the app settings and made my sd card the preferred installation location, but whenever I try to download an app google play says there is insufficient storage on the device. I tried looking on the T-mobile website for answers and it stated to go to the storage settings and go under Default Write Disk and make the sd card the main storage, but the Default Write Disk section does not appear on my phone. Is there any way I can make my sd card my internal storage?

Hi, despite being able to move apps to an SD card, the whole downloaded file doesn't move to the card, it remains on the phone. Do you have any media on the phone you could move to the SD card instead?
