Why won't Google Maps navigate to my designated HOME address?

A

AC Question

I have set my home address and in the first two weeks that I owned my Nexus 6P phone, Maps would navigate to that address whenever I said, "OK Google, navigate Home". Two weeks ago it stopped working. Now it just calls up web sites that contain the word "Home". I've tried deleting and reentering the address, using a different address, and using different voice commands. Nothing works. I even deleted updates to Maps and went back to the factory version. Still does not work.

You need to use Internet + GPS while you are at home to get a good fix on that place. Next you need to "★" your acquired "home" location so that you can see the option for labelling it as your home. There's even a selection of home icons to use for the location.
Once this is done, Gmaps will automatically refer to tour home location as a default destination to choose when routing from a place other than home...if you don't select some other place to navigate to.
Please let me know if my steps above aren't clear.
