Marshmallow won't let Facebook sync on S5

[AC Question]

After the Marshmallow update it removed Facebook from my accounts and my Facebook calendar was no longer synced with my Google Calendar, When I added Facebook as an account it says "Sync Turned Off", you can turn it on but it will not let you "sync", the word is grayed out? VW tech's were as stumped as I am and google didn't have any answers either.

Same issue here. Just uninstalled and reinstalled Facebook app. When you go under Accounts -> Facebook it says "Sync is turned off" and is greyed out. If you click "Sync with your device" below that, it's already checked. Where else do you turn it on??
