When I try to upload photos to Facebook or Twitter, why do my photos have no coherent order?

I just updated my Samsung Galaxy S5 to Android 6.0 Marshmallow, and I then tried to upload some pictures I took this week to Facebook. However, none of my photos were sorted by time, and instead in some random order with photos from all different times scattered among each other. I think it may have something to do with photos saved to my phone's internal memory versus photos saved to my SD card, but I can't find anyway to resolve the situation either on my phone or within my apps themselves. My gallery is still sorted by time, so how can I fix my social media apps so that my photos go back to be sorted by time when I try to upload them?
