Can the Galaxy S 2 be hard reset while plugged in charging?

Ive researched how to perform hard reset on this tablet, it is plugged in charging, however, in every example, none were shown plugged in and charging, ive attempted to hard reset several times. After trademark and product logo the reset dialog screen doesn't come up, its just as if it just turned back off and back to the battery charging indicator.

Why are you trying to do the reset while charging?
