If I receive FM radio on my smartphone does it cost me money?

I am using my smartphone to listen to FM radio. I go to: Tools icon---->FM Radio icon------>FM Radio......then select the frequency I want. Is this connecting via Data and does this cost me money? Or is it just like a conventional radio, picking the signal via air waves?

No, you don't pay to listen to radio if your phone came with built in FM radio.

To be absolutely sure, the FM radio shouldn't work if you don't have headphones plugged in, since it uses the headphone cord as an antenna. If it works without the headphone, then be careful, because it might actually be streaming FM radio over the web.
