I connected my Samsung 6 to Android Auto and it powered the phone off when connected to my Chevy Cruz 2016. On restart, it remains stuck on the red Verizon start-up screen.

I have had this phone connected successfully and used it for several days. Then this happened. I could not turn the phone off or cause any other action to happen. Eventually, the battery drained completely turning the phone off. When connected to a charger, the phone was then able to be turned on again.

Now, it has happened again. The screen is red and there is no response to any buttons. Hoping that it will power down again and work once more. Until I know what is wrong, I will not be using Android Auto again.

    The phone is running "Marshmallow".
