I've been having this issue with my samsung galaxy s4 Canadian version.
During a lot of messing around with different firmwares and custom roms I have seemed to run into a big problem. The Wifi switch will not turn on no matter what I do. I have continuously reflashed and reformatted my phone with I337MVLUAMDJ. (My current baseband is I337MVLUAMDJ and my current Kernel is 3.4.0-517283) I have a feeling that something with my kernel isn't lining up with my current baseband? What exactly controls wifi? I've dismissed a hardware issue based on the fact that my bluetooth still works fine... Am I wrong to assume that?

I am also having an issue where when I boot my phone it says "Kernel is not seandroid enforcing". Does that have something to do with it??

Any help would be appreciated. Should I be concerned about a hardware issue? I don't know what to do. I'd also highly appreciate if someone could explain to me what is the purpose of Modems, Kernels, "ROMS" and firmwares... and other technicalities so I may troubleshoot these issues with more knowledge.
